Tropical Storm Isaias is tracking up the East Coast and expected in the vicinity of Derecktor Robinhood Marine Center the evening of Tuesday, August 4 through the morning of Wednesday, August 5.
Sustained winds of 30 knots, with higher gusts are forecast from the SSE and will be prevalent for about six hours during this timeframe.
Derecktor Robinhood has limited fetch from this wind direction, but is taking steps to protect our customers’ boats, such as adding windward lines and rotating boats in the slips so the bow faces the weather. Winds are expected to move to the NW and WNW and diminish quickly through Wednesday morning.
Heavy rains, coupled with storm surge and an astrological high tide, will make the docks difficult to access from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday. We ask our customers to please refrain from using the docks during this period of time.
